Police seek fifth suspect in assault in St. Catharines last month

Suspect sought in aggravated assault at establishment in St. Catharines that sent victim to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Police investigating an aggravated assault in St. Catharines that left a victim with life-threatening injuries last month now say they have a fifth suspect in the case.

On March 24 shortly past midnight, Niagara Regional Police responded to the area of St. Paul Street and James Street in St. Catharines after an altercation occurred inside an establishment.

Police at the time said an unknown number of males assaulted a victim and the assault continued outside the establishment.

Niagara EMS attended and transported the victim to an out-of-region hospital.

Police later arrested one suspect and identified three other suspects.

Police now say they are now seeking the public's help in identifying a fifth suspect and have released photos. 

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Grey and brown beard
  • Heavy build
  • Wearing black jeans, red and black running shoes, a black hoodie with a black t-shirt on top and a black baseball cap.
