Missing 28-year-old man has been found and is safe, Niagara police report in a news release. Police thank the public for its assistance.

Niagara Regional Police Service 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) detectives are searching for missing person David Gomes,  28.

He was last seen in St.Catharines at 11 a.m. on Feb. 29, in the area of Harcove Street.

Gomes is described as:

  • White male
  • Thin build
  • Dark short hair

Clothing description:

  • Black jacket
  • Grey sweater
  • Black pants
  • Black toque
  • Dark shoes

He may be in the Cambridge area. Gomes is believed to be driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, 4D, orange in colour with Ontario plate: CMJE671.

The police and his family are concerned for his welfare.  Anyone who may have information as to his location are asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1024208.
