3 youths charged with robbery in Fort Erie

On April 4, 2024, at 7:32 p.m, the Niagara Regional Police officers responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Municipal Drive in Fort Erie, and located the victim.

Upon arrival it was determined a 15-year-old victim had been approached by three youths. The youths had concealed their identity and made a demand for property belonging to the victim. A weapon was produced while making this demand.

Officers obtained a description, located the suspects nearby and took them into custody.

The detective office has taken over the investigation, which has determined one of the youths was responsible for a prior robbery.

A 13-year-old male has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences:

  • robbery (two counts)
  • disguise with intent

A 14-year-old male has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences:

  • robbery
  • disguise with intent

A 12-year-old male has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences:

  • robbery

Two of the accused were held in custody for a bail hearing in St. Catharines on April 05, 2024.

The remaining accused was released on a Promise to Appear (Form 10) with a future court date.

The identities of the accused are not being released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

No physical injuries were sustained by the victim.
