Passed away at her home in Fonthill on March 23, 2024.  Beloved wife to David of 30 years.  She will be missed dearly by her children Jon and Jill Wellington. Cherished sister to Frances Meyer (Michael) and Carole Meyer (Ted). Predeceased by her parents Ferdinand and Marguerite Lamarre.

Marcelle was born in Hamilton, ON and graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1971and spent much of her nursing career at Greater Niagara General Hospital.  She was a club champion at the St. Ann's Tennis Club and played the guitar and sang in a folk group called "The Spur of the Moment".  She  was a camp counsellor at Camp Brebeuf, an RN at St. Joseph's Hospital and then a caseworker for Home Care.  She also taught at Niagara College and volunteered at the John Howard Society; victim services.

She loved to travel, the east coast being her favorite and she also loved her dogs dearly.

Marcelle fought with strength and courage to overcome many obstacles she faced throughout her life.  She loved to problem solve and give encouragement and advice to those around her. She could light up any room she was in with her vibrant personality.  Her sense of humor was a key part of her personality and her chuckle will be sorely missed.
