It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Peggy on January 5, 2024 with her children by her side.

Peggy was born in Hagersville, Ontario on January 20, 1935 and she grew up there until she moved with her family top Hamilton as a teenager.  She attended Delta Secondary School.

Peggy married Raymond Yates in 1953 and together they had four children: Debbie Fournier (Hector), Kathy Adkins (Jack Baran), Brian Yates (Shirley) and David Yates.  She was the proud, loving grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of eleven.  Her life revolved around her children's sports.  She was widowed in 1979 with the death of Raymond who she will now be reunited; Peggy later married James White which led to a period of travel and adventure until his death.  Peggy spent her later years attending Club Sixty in Stoney Creek and Winona's Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards and socializing.  Peggy's faith has always been important to her and comforted her through her good and bad times.  She was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church for many years.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Ruth Hazlett, her sister, Arlene, and her brothers: Doug and Earl.  She is survived by her brother, Ed Hazlett.
