Peacefully on Friday November 24, 2023, surrounded by her family at Hospice Niagara, Moira passed away at the age of 80, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Moira will be forever loved by her husband of 55 years Thomas, her daughter Lorraine (Colin) and her son Andrew.  She will be eternally missed by her granddaughters, Camryn and Kennedy with whom she shared the most special bond.  She is survived by her brothers Alan MacLeod and John MacLeod and her sister Margaret Laurie.  Moira is fondly remembered by her brother and sisters-in-law and her many nieces and nephews.  Moira was predeceased by her sister Betty Craigen.

Her memory will live on through her many loving friendships in both Scotland and Canada. To say that Moira was “one of a kind” was to know her well.  If you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you had a loyal and true friendship for life.  She was usually the smallest but loudest in the room and her presence was always known.  She will be so missed by all of us here, but we find solace in knowing that Moira is now reunited with her beloved family and friends. Our family would like to thank Dr. Sur and his team at Juravinski for their care and compassion, the Palliative Care Team and nurses that saw her through this journey, her many PSWs and the incredible team at Hospice Niagara.

In keeping with Moira’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara https://donate.mytributegift.org/Service?cid=ce28f4da0539e47f7591f9e0375cea72e67bedd73bd2f2d90bd912df79af6e6d would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
