Laura Fernandez Trio performs to a packed house at The Hare Wine Co.

The TD Niagara Jazz Festival's Twilight Jazz and Blues Series kicked off with a performance by the Laura Fernandez Trio. Accompanied by pianist Don Naduriak and trumpeter Alexander Brown, Fernandez wowed the full house with selections from her Spanish language album Un Solo Beso, selections for her debut The Other Side and 2020's Okay, Alright, and a few jazz standards thrown into the mix. 

Naduriak is to hold a piano masterclass on Brazilian and Cuban rhythms today, International Jazz Day, at Ridley College. 

The Twilight Jazz and Blues Series continues May 13 with the Kate Wyatt Trio and June 3 with Serafin LaRiviere. Both shows are at The Hare Wine Co. and ticket are available at niagarajazzfestival.com.
