In August of 2024, detectives from the 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Street Crime Unit began an investigation involving two males responsible for the illegal sale of drugs in the City of St. Catharines.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the two suspects. On Oct. 16, 2024 detectives arrested both males in a parking lot in the area of Fourth Avenue and Vansickle Road in the City of St. Catharines.
Search incident to arrest led detectives to locate and seize the following items:
- 810.4 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 333.2 grams of suspected cocaine
- 28.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- eight dilaudid 8mg pills
- $670 in Canadian currency
- four working cell phones
Joseph C. Williams (27 years old) of Oshawa, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- possession of Schedule I (fentanyl)
- possession of Schedule I (cocaine)
- possession of Schedule I (crystal methamphetamine)
- possession of Schedule I (hydromorphone)
- possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
Keon A. Bolton (26 years old) of Oshawa, Ont. was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- possession of Schedule I (fentanyl)
- possession of Schedule I (cocaine)
- possession of Schedule I (crystal methamphetamine)
- possession of Schedule I (hydromorphone)
- possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
Both Williams and Bolton were held in custody pending a bail hearing that wa expected to take place on Oct.l 17, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
