MaGARREY, Patricia Mae (nee Duffy)

After a lengthy journey with Alzheimer’s, passed away peacefully, at Garden City Manor on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 79 years of age.  Beloved wife of, the late, James “Jim” (February 14, 2022) for almost 56 years.  Loving mother of Christopher (Joy), Lisa (Scott) Bunting and Matthew (Raquel).  Proud Nanny of Riley, Gage, James, Zoe and Olivia.  Loved sister of Anne (Harry) Sheppard, Peggy Mambella, Betty Grosz, James Duffy, Debra Greenfield and sisters-in-law:  Pat (Tom) Nugent and Eleanor (Frank) Switzer.  She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and their families along with her many friends including those in the “Gourmet Club”.  Patricia enjoyed spending time with all the wonderful people in her life, cooking and making candy, spending time in her garden and volunteering her time to a variety of organizations over the years.  A special thanks to all the amazing staff at Garden City Manor especially Nurse Nancy, the staff in the Burgoyne Wing and Dr. David Wan.  In honouring Patsy’s wishes cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Dying with Dignity Canada would be greatly appreciated by Patricia’s family.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
